Evangeline boards the deep space cargo liner City of Pittsburgh in the guise of Contessa Evangelina Di Christi; Her assassination mission is nearly sidelined when the ship is hijacked by a group of ex-military operatives; With help from Johnny Six, a thief who has the bad luck to break in on Evangeline while she's dealing with her captors, she prepares to re-take the ship and unravel the mysterious reasons why a former military unit has turned into a band of cutthroat pirates.
