The Gulf War, started on January 17, 1991, and lasted for 1 month and 11 days.  Sparked by the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in August of 1990, the Iraqis were countered by a UN coalition, mostly made up of soldiers from the USA.  Though the conflict was short-lived, it resulted in the deaths of thousands of soldiers and civilians.  The war also set off the events that would eventually lead to the Iraq War and deposition of Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein over a decade later.

And now you can celebrate the Gulf War with a pack of Desert Storm trading cards.  Billed as "educational", these cards provide a wealth of information about the war.  These packs each come with 10 cards displaying a wealth of information from geography, to intelligence files, to the people behind the conflict.  Will you be the lucky collector who snags the ever elusive "Stormin'" Norman Schwarzkopf rookie card?
