Hero - Sack tries to reminisce with his WWII photo album, but everyone leaves the room before he notices. Eventually, he finds a raw recruit willing to listen.

Happy Day - Sarge creates a happy scene when he goes on furlough.

Day Off - While he is looking for his lost ring, Sack's companions question why he is sticking his head in the trash on his day off.

Who's Responsible? - While Sarge is away, Sad Sack is in charge of the office and causes havoc, eventually burning down the building and winding up in the guard house.

The Protectors - Sack derides a woodsman for chopping down a tree on Army property, then leaves in a tank, destroying numerous trees in the process, to report the woodsman.

Big Fat Mouth - The Sarge loses his hearing due to cannon fire, and Sack begins to verbally insult him in a quest for revenge. After the doctor cures Sarge and Sack is unaware, his continued insults land him in the guard house.

Good Trick - In order to get him to re-enlist, the Sarge tricks Sack into believing he has been promoted to jet pilot.

Mix-Up - The doctor gives a vitamin pill to Sarge so he can recover his mean attitude; when the pill wears off, Sarge demands that Sack locate the pills in the Doctor's absence. Receiving the wrong pill from Sack, the Sarge gets sleepy and leaves the men in a marsh while on a hike. When Sarge is discovered sleeping against a building, he winds up in the guardhouse.

Running Wild - Sad Sack and Sarge spend the night in a spooky house and believe the occupants want to eat them, so they bind them and flee back to the camp. In the meantime, two officers are looking for the non-coms and look at the ominous mansion, discovering and freeing the two residents. Meanwhile, Sack and Sarge try and get their minds off the frightening experience by going to the base movie theater and seeing a monster movie.

Seeing Things - Sod awakens from a drunken stupor at his moonshine still and sees dancing girls rehearsing, which he takes to be an illusion. As the girls return to their tour bus and his wife arrives and tells him to stop looking at the girls, Sod thinks Mrs. Sack is seeing the same illusion and chases her in anger for drinking the moonshine which he has forbid her.

Another Bug - After 5 postponements of a space shot for various reasons, the astronaut postpones again when a fly has been trapped in his helmet.

The Orbit - After space orbit is proven safe to a questioning public, the orbit around Earth becomes crowded with commercial rides around the world.

Good Use - The doctor tells Sack to think more to reduce clumsiness; when he later encounters workmen, he is struck in the head with a pipe and a brick. After Sad Sack develops a painful bump, the doctor asks if he has been using his head.
